Snapping
When you move or resize a layer, its edges and center snap to its siblings and its parent, and to equal spacing between siblings. Snap markers show what it lined up with. Snapping kicks in within 5 screen pixels.
- Hold
⌘while dragging to turn snapping off for that drag. - Snapping is also off while you resize with
⇧(keep proportions) or⌥(from the center).
Measuring
Select a layer, keep the Move tool, and hold ⌥. Hover another layer to see the distances between the two; hover elsewhere to see the distances to the parent's edges. A Measuring pill shows while it is active.
Pixel grid
Above 400 % zoom, a pixel grid fades in. While it shows, moves and resizes land on whole pixels, the zoom badge appears, and a readout follows the pointer with its position and the color under it (x 22 · y 14 · E76F51 66%).
